‘Plants Make People Happy’ - An Interactive Glebe Community Mural
‘Plants Make People Happy’ is a bright, interactive mural that can be found on the north-facing side of Top of the World Skateshop at 581 Bank St. in the vibrant Glebe neighbourhood in Ottawa, Ontario.
About the Artwork - Artist Statement
‘Plants Make People Happy’ is a collection of funky, happy plants and planters painted with bright colours, using bold shapes and cheerful patterns. The concept for this artwork is purely fun and a nod to our local farmer’s markets and florist vendors which provide our community with fresh goods and growing plant friends which help to keep us happy and healthy!
Goodbye Graffiti did an amazing job removing the previous weathered mural and refinishing the wall preparing, a beautiful blank canvas ready for the new mural design.

This community mural makes a fun backdrop for photos on the street level in the popular Ottawa neighbourhood - The Glebe!

The mural was painted using bright exterior paints generously donated by Sherwin William Paints (Catherine St. Ottawa), and specially discounted paints from Randall’s (Bank St.).
This project was made possible thanks to the Glebe BIA and the City of Ottawa’s mural program. Thank you for your trust, and for supporting the arts in our communities.
